AMERICAN FAIR is a tale about a farming community in York County, Maine.
Fathers and sons, knowledge of land and beast, carnival workers and strange stories,
country girls, ox-pulling, dairy showing, beauty pageants, a pig scramble and more!
The fairgrounds are a place where friendships and rivalries are renewed.
This feature-length ethnographic doc quietly reveals the agricultural heritage of the region
and opens our eyes to a wholesome side of American culture - as people of the earth.
AMERICAN FAIR is being submitted to film festivals in the USA, Europe and Asia,
and seeking sceening oppportunities and commercial distribution.

- York County Agricultural Association: YCAA is the oganization which runs the Acton Fair. I presented my idea of making a documentary film about American agricultural values just one month before the beginning of the fair. Though they didn't know me from Adam, most were friendly and co-operative. (A few couldn't get far enough away from me and my camera.) They gave me the nickname "Hollywood". Spending a summer together, we all grew close. I learned a lot. I am grateful to them all for sharing a their thoughts and stories.
